Artwork Requirements for DTF Transfer
To ensure the best quality for your DTF transfers, it is essential to submit your artwork in the correct format and resolution. Below are the guidelines for submitting your artwork to ensure that your designs are printed to perfection.
1. Preferred File Formats
We accept the following file formats for Custom DTF Transfers:
-
PNG (preferred format)
-
SVG
-
EPS
-
AI
Note: We do not accept JPEG files as they are typically low-resolution and can affect the final quality of the transfer.
2. Resolution and Image Quality
-
Minimum Resolution: Your artwork should be at least 300 dpi (dots per inch) or 300 ppi (pixels per inch) for the best print quality.
-
High-Quality Artwork: Ensure that the image is sharp, clear, and high resolution. Low-resolution files may result in pixelation or blurry prints.
-
Vector Files: Vector formats like AI, SVG, or EPS are preferred for their scalability and clarity. These formats ensure that the artwork maintains its quality when resized.
3. Color Mode
-
RGB Mode: Submit your artwork in RGB color mode for accurate color representation in the printing process.
-
Pantone Colors: If specific Pantone colors are required, please specify them to ensure color consistency.
4. Artwork Size and Scaling
-
Size: Make sure your artwork is sized to match the final print size. For example, if you're printing on a t-shirt, make sure the design dimensions are accurate for the shirt’s print area.
-
Scaling: Avoid scaling the artwork to fit your required size, as this can degrade the quality. Submit the design at the desired final size for the best result.
5. Design Transparency
-
Transparent Background: For designs with no background, please ensure the background is transparent (especially for PNG files). This allows for easy application on garments and ensures no unwanted background color is printed.
6. Fonts and Text
-
Outline Text: For designs with text, please outline or convert text to paths/outlines. This ensures that the text appears as intended, regardless of whether the font is available on our end.
-
No Rasterized Text: Avoid sending rasterized text (flattened text). It is important to keep the text editable or outlined for better quality.
7. Design Complexity and Layers
-
Layered Files: If your design has multiple elements, please provide the file with individual layers intact. This helps us ensure that each element is printed clearly and without interference from other design elements.
-
Simplicity: Complex designs with too many small details may not print well on all surfaces. We recommend simplifying overly intricate designs for better results.
8. Bleed and Safe Area
-
Bleed: For designs that go all the way to the edges of the garment or surface, please ensure there is a 0.25" bleed around the edges of your artwork. This ensures that the design extends fully to the edges after trimming.
-
Safe Area: Keep important text and design elements within 0.25" of the edge to avoid them getting cut off during the application process.
9. File Submission Guidelines
-
File Naming: Use clear and descriptive file names (e.g., Design_T-Shirt_Front.png) to help us easily identify and process your artwork.
-
Submission: Upload your artwork to our Custom DTF Transfer page or email us directly at Sales@AxoBrands.com.
10. Artwork Review and Approval
Once we receive your artwork, our team will review it to ensure it meets our quality standards. If necessary, we will provide feedback or request adjustments. We will confirm that your design is ready for production before proceeding.
